How the ranking works

This site sells placement. That funds it, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we do instead is give you a switch that takes placement out of the ranking entirely.

Featured

The default. Featured listings first, then everything else. This is the order creators bought, and every featured listing carries a Featured label on the card itself.

Best overall

Flip the switch and placement stops counting for anything. Listings are ordered by the reward score below, and each card shows how far it moved when the ads stopped getting a head start. Sorting by creator rewards alone is a separate option in the same menu.

What goes into a reward score

Every listing is scored on the same inputs. The two halves are added, so both paying in full comes to 200, and neither half stops there. Nothing a creator pays us changes any of them, and the full breakdown is printed on every listing page so you can check our working.

Value

up to 200 of score

Everything that comes back to you, which is the two things below added together, and the whole of the score. Both paying in full is 200, and neither is capped there: a leaderboard handing back more than the house edge took, or an offer past what full marks costs, reads beyond it rather than stopping. They are scored apart because they are earned apart: the leaderboard pays only if you place, while what a creator hands out pays whether you place or not. Combining them without showing both would hide that difference, so the breakdown on every listing shows the parts, and hovering the number on a card shows them too.

Leaderboard

up to 100 of score

What comes off the cash leaderboard as a share of what you have to put in, scored two ways depending on the site. Case sites publish what it takes to hold each place, so every paid position counts its own prize against its own wagering and those ratios are added up, with a banded row counting once per place it covers. Casinos weight wagering per game and rarely publish that, so their leaderboards are scored on the pool divided across everyone entered, set against the entry requirement. Either way it is a ratio, so a $100 leaderboard and a $1,000 leaderboard are judged on the same terms and a huge pool with a huge field behind it is not flattered by its own headline.

Rewards

up to 100 of score

What the creator hands out on top of the cash, and only ever the creator: the site's own welcome bonus, VIP rakeback and promotions are there whether you used anyone's code or not, so they earn nobody anything here. What counts is the uplift you get for signing up under this creator, which is why the percentages are small. Split six ways: deposit bonus, lossback, rakeback, a share of their affiliate commission, milestones, and anything else. Each kind earns points at its own rate, because a percentage point of one is not worth a percentage point of another: a deposit match is a one-off on money you were putting in anyway, while rakeback pays on every bet you ever place. Forty points is full marks. The points stack with no per-kind limit, so a site that does one thing exceptionally well can top this component on that alone. Anything we have not seen paid counts for 60% until we do, and a leaderboard with nothing on top scores zero here and has to earn its number on the cash.

What each reward kind earns

Creators file their offers under six kinds when they set a leaderboard up. The rates are published here so nobody has to guess what a percentage is worth, and the whole offer earns at the rate of the band it lands in rather than being split across bands.

Why the biggest pool loses

Here are two leaderboards listed right now: the one with the largest headline prize pool, and the one our scoring puts first. The headline number is the one creators advertise. The one underneath is the one that decides what you get.

What placement does and doesn't buy

  • It buys position in the default featured order, a highlighted card, and a spot in our weekly email.
  • It does not buy a reward score, a verified payout badge, removal of a complaint from the record, or any position at all once a user flips the switch.
  • Paid listings stay labelled Featured in both orders. If a paid listing is a bad deal, the score says so on the creator's own card.
